“Don Dixon is a smart, talented guy
with a natural instinct for writing songs. His lyrics sneak up on
you, packing an emotional wallop while avoiding the obvious.”
-Larry Groce, host of NPR’s Mountain Stage
“Don Dixon is an underrated performer who possesses two emotive
bass instruments (one vocal, the other stringed) and a songwriting
talent for both the puckish and the poignant.”-The New Yorker
“Don Dixon is such a moving singer, deft producer and inventive
player, that it's been easy to overlook his way with words. His
lyrics are clever -- so clever, in fact, that the deep emotions
underlying the smart turns of phrase often don't register their
impact until a second or third listen.”
-Anthony DeCurtis, Contributing Editor, Rolling Stone
